forever favorites

one of the first games i've ever played. i've been playing TBOI since i was 6 or 7 years old, inspiring my love for dark biblical aesthetics(11 or so years later and i still suck if you needed a reminder we cant all be good at everything). also where i got the name cain shin megami tensei:nocturne, played this game when i was 13 or 14 and fell in love. my gateway drug into the world of megaten after an online friend(hello tyro) introduced me to persona 3 at the end of my elementary school career bahahaha. another middle school favorite that unfortunately nobody knows about. this game is everything ive ever liked into one (not so) big thing. rion ily forever and ever he is like a son to me played the mainline 1-4 in middle school, definitely changed my life forever. so much more to say about these games, but that deserves its own post. silent hill 2 is definitely my favorite. loveee tsukihime to death. when ignoring how cringe the eroge elements of the game, the story is quite charming. so charming in fact i'm afraid it'll show in my own stories with how much of an influence it has on me. definitely a must play for all visual novel lovers, if you can access this website there's no excuses since now you can literally play it in your browser. parasite eve and the novel it was based on are two of my greatest inspirations when creating my own art. the franchise is a unique kind of science fiction horror that has nothing to do with aliens or spaceships, yet it instead centers various biomedical atrocities regarding the cells in our body. hideaki sena's pharmacuetical expertise attributed toward making parasite eve truly one of a kind. fond memories playing this when i was 13, touching my heart deeply and changing my perspective on life and my identity. as the years go by, ff7 continues to uphold its political relevance. hopefully with the remakes it'll radicalize those with the pleasure of playing it. it. is. not. just. yaoi. to ME. togainu no chi is really great, very flawed but still overall great. to get the most out of the story i reccommend prioritizing keisuke, motomi(fav), and nano's routes. however way you play it i'm sure the story and characters will still immerse you regardless. top 3 megaten games. i played this on my school chromebook in a browser emulator, also helped me grow an affinity toward trpg's. i wish atlus would've made more games in this style. the devil auctioning is a mechanic that i still think is so cool and different to this day. also the overall feel for this game makes me feel a lot of feelings. one of the other 2 of the top 3. love love love dds, what recommend to persona fans who are interested in smt. very beautiful game also i love heat. without a doubt the best rougelite ever made with 10/10 story, music, art and infinite replayability. one of those games that only get better the more you play it. a game made with passion and it shines in its quality. pls play it my intro to shin megami tensei and persona(thank you AGAIN tyro) im very critical of these games but i still have a lot of love for them nevertheless. remake wasn't bad. mitsuru is my wife TurtleDude played and beat ds1 for the first time with vakna and i gotta say that darksouls is NOT overhyped. i loved every last second of playing ds1, super fun, ill update with thoughts on the next souls games :)
